Incheon Airport Robot Carrier Delivery Guide|Autonomous Luggage Transport from Parking to Departure
Incheon International Airport has launched a pilot autonomous robot carrier delivery service, allowing travelers to move their luggage automatically from the parking lot to the departure hall. This service is especially helpful for pregnant travelers, disabled individuals, seniors, and families with children.
1. What Is the Robot Carrier Delivery Service?
This is an AI-powered autonomous driving robot that transports passengers’ luggage between the Terminal 1 Transportation Center (B1 parking entrance) and the departure/arrival entrances.
It is part of the government-led AI & address-based mobility intelligence project and expands Incheon Airport’s existing “Parking Navigation App,” which already provides vacant parking spaces and indoor walking routes.
- Supports mobility-vulnerable travelers
- Reduces physical fatigue for long-distance travelers
- Improves airport operational efficiency through automation
2. Who Can Use the Robot Carrier?
- Pregnant travelers
- Disabled passengers
- Seniors
- Travelers with heavy or multiple suitcases
- Families traveling with small children
3. Where to Use the Robot Carrier at Incheon Airport
Currently available at the following locations in Terminal 1:
- B1 Transportation Center – Parking Entrance (Robot Dispatch Zone)
- Departure Hall Entrance (3F) – Delivery Point
- Arrival Hall Entrance (1F) – Delivery Point
4. How to Use the Robot Carrier Delivery Service (Step-by-Step)

5. Additional Autonomous Services: Patrol Robots
Alongside the carrier robots, Incheon Airport also operates autonomous patrol robots that monitor:
- No-smoking areas
- Bus waiting zones (T1 Arrival 1F / Departure 3F)
- Indoor crowd conditions and safety
These robots improve the airport environment through autonomous monitoring and safety announcements.
6. Future Expansion
The Korean government continues to test and expand AI-robot mobility services nationwide. Previous pilot programs include:
- Robot delivery between shopping malls and parking lots (Muan, Jeonnam)
- Drone delivery for island communities (Boryeong, Chungnam)
The Incheon Airport luggage robot is expected to become a full-scale service after the pilot evaluation.
