One of the most exciting winter events in Seoul is back. The 2025 Hangang Winter Festival officially opens on December 19, bringing warmth, romance, and unforgettable winter experiences along the Han River.
From the Romantic Hangang Christmas Market to immersive art spaces like Spring ON Hangang and the traditional Hangang Wind Festival, this seasonal celebration transforms the Han River into a must-visit winter destination.
Winter Romance at Its Best|Romantic Hangang Christmas Market
The 2025 Romantic Hangang Christmas Market runs for seven days, from December 19 to December 25, at Ttukseom Hangang Park (J-Bug Building) and under Cheongdam Bridge.

Designed as a “playground filled with joy”, the market features three main zones: Market Zone, Food Zone, and Photo Zone.
✔ Market Zone
Located inside the J-Bug building at Ttukseom Hangang Park, this cozy indoor market hosts over 40 Christmas-themed shops, along with Seoul’s famous direct-produce marketplace, Seoro Market.
✔ Food Zone
Under Cheongdam Bridge, 16 food trucks and specialty vendors serve hot winter snacks, comfort food, and sweet desserts. An indoor dining area is also available for visitors to stay warm.
✔ Photo Zones & Experiences
The outdoor area features a magical installation called “Romantic Forest”, with seven illuminated Christmas trees, luminaries, and a cookie-house backdrop.
Inside the J-Bug building, visitors can enjoy four themed photo zones such as Christmas Panorama and Romantic Lounge, along with hands-on workshops like ornament-making and keyring crafting.
Special performances—including children’s choir concerts and street artist shows—take place throughout the festival period, adding live entertainment to the festive atmosphere.
A Touch of Spring in Winter|Spring ON Hangang
Spring ON Hangang is a unique emotional space inspired by “early spring arriving in mid-winter.” It runs from December 19 to December 28 at Banpo Hangang Park near Sebitseom.

The space features three immersive dome zones: Spring Flower Dome, Photo Dome, and Rest Dome. The highlight is the 15-meter-wide Spring Flower Dome, filled with daisies, cherry blossoms, and wisteria tunnels.
Visitors can also enjoy seasonal photo zones, warm snack areas styled like a winter campsite, and interactive events such as hand warmer crafting, tarot readings, and “snow flower” light shows.
During the Hangang Festival period, cafés and restaurants on Sebitseom offer special discounted menus exclusively for festival visitors.
Tradition Meets Spectacle|Hangang Wind Festival
The Hangang Wind Festival celebrates Korea’s traditional kite-flying culture and takes place on December 27–28 at the waterfront stage near Sebitseom, Banpo Hangang Park.

Highlights include massive display kites such as a 30-meter-long whale kite, Santa-themed kites, and thrilling stunt kite demonstrations that captivate visitors of all ages.
