2025 Bukchon Experience: Jangseung Wood Carving Workshop

Join a hands-on Korean folk craft experience and carve your own Jangseung wooden guardian figure. Participants will learn the cultural meaning of Jangseung—traditional village protectors symbolizing fortune, safety, and community—and create a personalized wood-carved figure following the natural grain of the tree.

  • Dates: December 20(Sat) & December 27(Sat), 2025
  • Time Slots: 10:30–11:40 / 13:00–14:10 / 14:30–15:40
  • Venue: Bukchon Cultural Center, 37 Gyedong-gil, Jongno-gu, Seoul
  • Instructor: Master Woodcarver Kim Jong-guk (Sotdae Story)

Open to 42 visitors (7 per session) / Age 19+ / Advance reservation only

◐ Registration Period & Important Notes

  • Application Period: December 9–12, 2025 (until 17:00)
  • Registration closes after reaching triple the capacity → lottery conducted via Unipicker
  • The program is free of charge and requires advance booking
  • Only one session per person is allowed (no overlapping time slots)
  • If you do not arrive 10 minutes before the program starts, your seat may be given to on-site standby participants
